Bibione Thermae hosts an important opportunity for professional updating for physiotherapists and doctors: the Basic Course of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for Physiotherapeutic Echo-guided Treatments, scheduled on 14 and 15 March 2025.
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR REHABILITATION PROFESSIONALS
Ultrasound is a fundamental tool in rehabilitation, allowing real-time assessment of musculoskeletal structures. This course, held by Dr Andrea Massimiani, aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to integrate ultrasound in physiotherapy practice, improving diagnostic and therapeutic accuracy.
A PRACTICAL AND TARGETED COURSE
The programme includes a high percentage of practical activity (75%), with exercises among participants and the use of one ultrasound machine for every three trainees. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Understand the basics of musculoskeletal ultrasound and its applications;
Correctly interpret an ultrasound report;
Use the main ultrasound settings;
Identify the main anatomical structures and recognise pathological pictures that require medical investigation;
Applying ultrasound techniques in physiotherapy treatments.

Friday 14 March
2.30pm Introduction and presentation of the course
3.00pm Legal and clinical aspects of ultrasound in physiotherapy
16:00 Physical principles of ultrasound and formation of the ultrasound image
4.45pm Musculoskeletal ultrasound anatomy
5.00pm Practical sessions on the foot, ankle and knee
7.30pm Closing of work
Saturday 15 March
09:00 Practical sessions on the thigh and hip
11.30am Practical shoulder sessions
2.00pm Practical sessions on elbow and wrist
4:00 pm Delivery of certificates and closing of the works
INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
The course is reserved for doctors, physiotherapists registered with professional associations and third-year physiotherapy students. The participation fee is €450.00 including VAT, with a maximum number of 15 participants.
